STATEMENT FROM REPARATIONS UNITED ON POSTPONING THE PEACE, LOVE, & REPARATIONS CONCERT AND UNITY RALLY
Earlier this week, at the Juneteenth Festival and celebration hosted in Leimert Park, unfortunately, there were a series of events that impacted public safety and due to this , all events planned in Leimert Park are on hold and permits are not being approved.
To ensure the safety and well-being of all of the artists, organizers, and community members that are involved in the concert planning, we will be postponing the Peace, Love, & Reparations Concert and Unity Rally to a new date to be announced over the next several days.
The public’s safety is our uppermost priority, and we remain committed to creating a space for Black, peace, love, and unity. We will work with our dedicated team and artists to bring our people together to further the conversation on reparations to Black people at a later time and date. For all who purchased online tickets for the event, you will receive a new confirmation email once we have chosen a new date.
We are deeply committed to creating a space for Black peace, love, and unity, and we will work with our dedicated team and artists to bring our people together to continue the push for reparations for Black people.
